Avalanche signs Brandon Yip

Colorado Avalanche announced that the club has signed forward Brandon Yip. "Brandon had a very strong year at Boston University and wrapped up his collegiate career by serving as a leader on a championship team," said Avalanche General Manager Greg Sherman.

Yip spent the past four years at Boston University, where he scored 108 points in 139 career games.
He is a native of Vancouver, and was Colorado’s seventh selection in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. He was named Hockey East Rookie of the Year after leading all freshmen in earning 31 points in 39 contests.
